As a team of multi skilled builders with time on our hands throughout lockdown in the UK, we decided to keep ourselves busy by converting this long wheel base Mercedes Sprinter into a luxury off grid campervan. Newly completed in October 2020 it has all the facilities required to pack up and set off exploring at the drop of a hat. Inside there's a double bed and fold away sofa bed which comfortably sleeps up to 4 people with built in sky lights above each sleeping area. There is a fully functional, built in shower and toilet area with basin and vanity mirror. Small kitchenette which includes a sink with hot and cold taps, gas hob and a 55 Litre fridge with counter space to prepare your meals. Run off waste water goes directly outside to an underslung waste water tank while the fresh water tank is stored in the garage area with a filler point fixed externally. We have installed an underslung 35l gas tank which also has a filling point externally. The camper benefits from its own combi boiler which means hot water and heating is at your fingertips wherever in the world you decide to venture. The front passenger seats are mounted on a swivel base which rotates to face into the camper for extra seating when not in use when driving. There are two lightweight bespoke made storage units within the main area to store your most important possessions as well as a large garage area to the rear with ample storage for any equipment you may wish to take along for the ride. The camper benefits from both USB and mains plug sockets within, to keep all your devices charged for your trips. In order to be as economically friendly as possible we have installed two 120 watt solar panels to help keep running costs down which can be accessed and maintained via the rhino ladder mounted on the back door. To assist you on entering the van we have installed an electric step which will come in handy for children and those of us who weren't blessed with long legs. Externally we have had the van fully wrapped in the popular Nardo Grey and in true campervan spirit added mountain decals to the sides along with a compass on the back. The real show stopper from the outside is the amazing All Terrain Black Rhino wheels with a spare on the back, just in case. We have also fitted a Fiamma awning for that extra outdoor space when required. The van has been checked and signed off by a qualified gas engineer and weighed in at 3200kg.
