Raffle Summary
Goldsmiths STAR (Student Action for Refugees) are hosting a fundraising raffle where all the money raised will go towards relief funds for those affected by the Moria camp fire. In September, a fire destroyed the Greek camp in Moria, leaving 13,000 without shelter. The affects of this are still being felt by the thousands of refugees and asylum seekers who were left with nowhere to go and little help. The Moria camp was overcrowded and unsafe and has become a symbol for the inhumane ways that people are being treated who are trying to seek asylum. This is why we have chosen to donate every penny of this raffle to Stand By Me Lesvos, a local NGO to the Moria camp made up of local teachers, professors and small business owners. They are helping to coordinate with other organisations on site to clear waste, help to stop the spred of COVID-19 and help people affected by the fire. Every item has been kindly donated by different artists, local South East London cafes and businesses for you to win. So buy your tickets to give to a good cause and for a chance to win some amazing prizes!
