Enter Raffle to Win The Great Big SE4 & SE23 Raffle
Raffle Summary
We're hosting a raffle to support small, independent businesses in the SE4 & SE23 postcodes during the Covid-19 crisis. These businesses are the heart and soul of our communities, yet they are undoubtedly being hit incredibly hard during this pandemic. We really want to see them come out the other side intact so, inspired by our neighbours in SE22, we have set up this raffle where members of the local community have the chance to win some great prizes from our local businesses. We buy all prizes on offer from the local businesses and for every 60 tickets sold, we'll add a new fantastic prize! Quite simply - the more tickets that are sold, the more great prizes will be on offer! All money raised will go directly to support local participating businesses - so please dig deep and let's show our indies just how much we care! We're also giving you the option of nominating an NHS worker to be the prize beneficiary if your ticket is selected to win a prize - if you'd like to do this, then please clearly mark "NHS" after your name when entering the draw. Remember, the number of amazing prizes on offer (all bought from local independent businesses) will increase the more tickets are sold - so get buying and get sharing NOW! Good luck!!

Influenced by the changing seasons and inspired by maverick artists, Caroline & Brigitte’s designs are infused with their passion for the materials they use - Bakelite from the 1920s, original gems from the 40s, Perspex from the 50s and semi-precious stones that span the decades. Every single piece of Twisted Vintage jewellery is lovingly designed, created and produced from scratch, by hand. Each piece of jewellery also comes in a beautiful custom-made, hand-stitched vintage pouch. Check out their beautiful designs here: twisted-vintage.co.uk

Prize 110 is a fabulous "China Bundle" provided by Lazy Peach Cafe Bar in Forest Hill. The China Bundle includes: 1. China: The Cookbook by Kei Lum Chan and Diora Fong Chan. “Featuring more than 650 recipes for delicious and authentic Chinese dishes for the home kitchen, this impressive and authoritative book showcases the culinary diversity of the world’s richest and oldest cuisines with recipes from the 33 regions and sub-regions and features selected recipes from star chefs from around the world.” 2. Five piece yixing clay gongfu tea set. This tea set is used to enjoy loose leaf teas. Yixing clay is meant to absorb the flavour of the tea, so traditionally you ‘dedicate’ one type of tea to each set. The teapot and cups are small to allow the hot water to cool enough to not burn the drinker, but to stay hot enough to enjoy the tea. The teapot is refilled over several times and each ‘steep’ of the tea leaves produces a richer taste. 3. Three tins of premium loose leaf Chinese teas: Long Jin Dragon Well Green Tea, Ti Kuan Yin Oolong and Jasmine Tea. Run by a local Forest Hill family, Lazy Peach is a cute cafe bar known for taking traditional Malaysian home cooking and giving it a modern, international twist. Favourites include traditional dishes such as Malaysian five spice belly pork and roti canai, as well as more modern fusion dishes such as their selection of bao buns and their asian style brunch. Lazy Peach also serves a menu of Eastern inspired cocktails, Asian beers and a selection of globally sourced loose leaf teas - perfect to enjoy with the gorgeous teaware also on sale.

We all need something to look forward to in 2021! So we are offering as a prize a 7 night stay in the delightful cottage of Prado Lobero in Candeleda, Spain – about 2 hours West of Madrid. The cottage sleeps 6 people and is set in a large meadow on the Southern slopes of the Gredos Mountains. With gorgeous views and terraces on which to sip a glass of wine or “refresco”, it has its own swimming pool and garden and is the ideal place to just do nothing! It also has incredible nature and bird life, fabulous walking, mountain biking, horse riding and wild water swimming. Perfect for recovery from 2020 Covid-19 year. The village of Candeleda, like so many others in Spain which depend on visitors and tourism, has been having a terrible time in recent weeks. Local jobless levels, already high, are now at record levels (over 50%), the army and police have been controlling entrance and exit into the town, shopping has only been allowed once a week depending on the number on your national ID card and no outdoor exercise has been allowed at all. In addition, the town has a high proportion of vulnerable older residents with so many younger families migrating to cities like Madrid to try to make ends meet. By entering the raffle you are helping local independent businesses in SE London, but if you win this prize you will also helping to rebuild a vibrant local community in Spain! Included in the prize is 7 nights’ rental (worth £860) during 2021. Reservation of the prize rental week needs to be made by no later than 30th June 2021 and the prize week is subject to availability and needs to start by Saturday 25th December 2021 at the latest. *The winner will be required to sign a rental agreement with the owner in advance of the stay which will include payment of an upfront cleaning fee of EUR 65. *Transport to and from the cottage will be at the winner’s expense and the winner will be solely responsible for making all travel arrangements themselves (including without limitation flights, transfers, car hire, passports/visas, insurance and applicable taxes). *Other than the cottage rental, the winner is solely responsible for all other costs, expenses, fees, taxes and charges in connection with redeeming the prize, including without limitation the upfront EUR65 cleaning fee referred to above. *If for any reason the winner is not able to travel to the cottage during 2021 (due to reasons outside the owner’s reasonable control) neither the owner nor the raffle organisers shall be liable and no cash equivalent or any other alternative will be made available. However, the owner may agree to extend these deadlines at their sole discretion if the winner’s inability to comply with the dates is due to travel restrictions caused by world events outside the winner’s and the owner’s control. *The prize is strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be resold.
