Raffle Summary

All proceeds from this raffle will be donated to the Music Venue Trust #SaveOurVenues campaign. The ongoing pandemic has left many of our grassroots music venues fighting to survive. When they can open (sporadically), current safety guidelines mean reduced capacity and thus very little profit, or no profit at all. Many venues are at risk of imminent, permanent closure. Many of the famous acts we know and love began their careers in grassroots music venues. They offer an essential platform for artists now, and future artists yet to be discovered. They bring like-minded music fans and communities together. A world without real live music is a bleak one indeed, but unless we step in and help, many of the venues central to our cities, towns, villages and communities could be gone forever. I previously raffled a handmade guitar in support of the campaign but wanted to offer another instrument with a lower ticket price. I have therefore built this Ukulele with all proceeds (minus Raffall’s 10% commission) being donated to the SOV national fund. The Ukulele is a great instrument for beginners and seasoned musicians alike. You are welcome to purchase as many tickets as you like to increase your chances of winning. The prise is a 26 inch tenor ukulele of hardwood ply construction with Sapele veneer, a solid Sapele neck, rosewood bridge and rosewood fretboard. The body features extensive internal bracing for rigidity along with a curved back to increase volume and produce a deeper, fuller sound. The ukulele is fitted with high ratio tuners for easy fine-tuning and a tie-bar bridge with ABS nut and saddle. The neck and body are finished in danish oil with a lovely woodgrain texture and natural look, and the bridge and fretboard are treated with multiple coats of lemon oil. The winner will receive 1 ukulele and the prise includes UK delivery. You can view more details on the ukulele at https://ashleycox.co.uk. More details on the #SaveOurVenues campaign can be found at https://saveourvenues.co.uk.

Very excited about my win! Ashley's ukulele looks fabulous and I'm really looking forward to playing it at live venues in Devon in the near future. Thanks Ashley!
