You are buying a ticket with a chance of receiving the Driving Range Car and by doing this you're also helping to fund the NHS through COVID-19!! I strongly recommend that you read the following information about the car before purchasing a ticket. The following information explains all known faults as well as all positives about the car, info about insurance, MOT, recent services, modifications etc. ​ The fun bits first - This is a driving range on wheels at the end of the day! You can pull up anywhere (safe) to ping some balls off and trial out your new driver or irons! The car features astro turf on the roof, bonnet and boot and the roof has 3 different sized tees to suit whatever club you're going to throw at it. Plenty of room in the back for your clubs too... read pros and cons list below to find out more about the modifications. ​ ​ The car itself - The car is a 54 plate Daihatsu Charade, 1.0L petrol, right hand drive manual.​ ​ Service history - When the car was originally bought in summer 2019 it came with no service history, so shortly after buying it, it received a full service including extras you wouldn't usually receive in a standard garage service. This included an oil change, oil filter change, new sump plug, new spark plugs, new air filter, an anti-freeze flush and top up and an exhaust and fuel tank flush. We also replaced 2 of the rubber exhaust mounts under the car that were getting tired. We then replaced one tyre due to the tread getting low and also replaced the car battery with a brand new one. The car has been running like a dream since all of this work. In 2020 it has also had brand new Brembo front brake disks fitted and brand new front brake pads too. (proof of service and brake changes can be found on the YouTube Channel 'John Imrie').​ ​ Insurance - We found insuring the car on temp cover to be pricy due to the modifications, however we insured this car (and all modifications) for the year for around only £360 which is less than an unmodified 1.3L Mazda 2 using the same details... not bad at all. ​ ​ MOT - MOT was due to run out on 04-04-2020, however due to COVID-19 the laws have changed granting a 6 month extension to ALL MOTs. The MOT is now valid until 04-10-2020. Meaning any winner of this car/prize will have plenty of MOT left!! This car has breezed through it's last MOTs needing only minor work, the last time it was just one tyre that needed to be replaced, so as long as the modifications do not affect the MOT I see no reason why it wouldn't pass it's next MOT with flying colours. However do see the cars pros and cons below.​ ​ Pros/modifications - ​ Starts first time every time.​ Smooth runner, has been able to complete large Road Trips 4000+ miles and 1000+ miles with ease and no overheating etc.​ Recent service & front brake change (end of 2019 and 2020).​ Has good amount of MOT left (see above).​ We replaced the 12v charger in the car which is now working.​ New car battery (end of 2019).​ Replaced the broken head unit with a new after market one with AUX in.​ Car has been converted on DVLA to a 2 seater to make room for golf clubs (no back seats).​ Car has been converted to white on DVLA as it is the main colour.​ Astro Turf bonnet, boot and roof (stuck and bolted on).​ 3 tees in the roof.​ White taped ariel with red flag on top.​ 4x Hub caps​ Tinted back 3 windows.​ Tinted front lights, rear lights and side indicators.​ Comes with Euro Driving deflectors on ready for driving abroad.​ Astro Turf floor mats (rough cut).​ Roof has been reinforced to take more weight allowing people to stand and take shots, this has been fitted roughly so please take care (cannot guarantee this will hold everyone so double check reinforcement and take any safe measures to make sure this is perfect before using.​ Interior LEDs.​ I WILL ALSO INCLUDE A VARIATION OF CLUBS for those of you thinking of buying this that do not have any golf clubs of your own.​ Any left over balls from our recent Road Trip will also be included.​ ​ Cons (and I'm being picky but want to include absolutely everything!) - ​ Car has dent above drivers side door.​ Some paintwork not perfect. ​ Flag is coming apart at the top and will not be in good condition or present at all.​ Some corners of the astro turf are coming away where we didn't put enough glue on (super easy fix) also it is still bolted down!​ Car will not come with subwoofer or sub wiring.​ There is a small piece of plastic behind the front bumper loose that can be put back into place easily.​ Car will not come with undercar LEDs (or it will but they don't work).​ Car will come with all stickers as seen, if you want to remove them you obviously can and that is recommended. ​ Back right tyre has a slow puncture, fine whilst driving but only comes into affect when the car is sat in the same spot for about a day.​ Back right mud guard has come off.​ Exhaust is aftermarket and could do with being changed as it is too long an often hits the ground.​ Car will give out quite a lot of smoke if not driven for a while, I believe this may be due to the exhaust flush trying to push out extra rubbish.​ Car suspension I believe makes a knocking sound, but only if at extreme full lock, it has done this since we bought it and runs smoothly still.​ Clutch played us up for 10 minutes once when having not drove it for months, but is working fine now and has done since.​ Car has no rear interior panels etc all have been taken out along with the back seats. ​ ​ Everything above is absolutely everything I can think of!​ ​ Remember when picking the car up (if from outside of UK) or upon car being delivered it will then be your responsibility to insure, tax and keep the car in an MOT worthy state.
