The fourth and last of our special Christmas designer shirts’ raffles has been launched. So far we’ve had three lines each of five jerseys bearing the names and numbers of players categorised high up in the “givers” column where they racked up assists helping others to score goals. Sometimes players tally in both the assists and the goals columns, sometimes they qualify because they ‘gave’ in every department both on and off the ice and sometimes they gave everyone the inspiration they needed to have a go at anything they wanted to try to achieve. Picking a line-up of Panthers’ favourites who always give or gave their all to help the team was never going to be an easy task. We think the fifteen names so far were among the best we’ve had. Now we turn our attention to the unveiling of the last five names for our Christmas shirts’ raffle finale which runs until Sunday at 9pm (December 13th). We’re anticipating another bumper entry for the latest line-up which includes: #77 Corey Neilson who was a player, then player-coach and finally the winningest coach in the club’s history; #5 David Clarke, top British sharpshooter but no stranger to the assists column either; #41 Sam Her last year’s captain and arguably the best player in the Elite League on ANY team; #14 Jon Weaver, already something of a British veteran when he joined us after years playing against us, going on to help us record-breaking successes and finally #9 David-Alexandre Beauregard who lost an eye in a hockey incident and retrained himself to cope with the injury. He became an inspiration to many and a goalscoring legend for the Panthers. This is the last of our four Christmas shirts’ draws.
