Sweepstake Summary

In 2019 Old Hall Primary School joined forces with Bee Involved community bee project based in Summerseat to pitch for council funding to set up a school hive. The Old Hall hive arrived at School in October 2019. Since then, under the meticulous and patient eye of Mrs Hornsby and some mentoring from the chaps at Bee Involved, the colony has gone from strength to strength allowing children to work with the bees and understand how important they are to our planet. After the first honey harvest last Autumn the school can now offer 4 exclusive jars of Old Hall Honey for raffle to raise funds to maintain and grow the Old Hall Colony.

4 Prizes

  • Win a jar of delicious Old Hall Honey made by our own School Bees and cared for by Mrs Hornsby and her Year 3 Children 2019/20. Local honey is known for it's health benefits and positive effect on allergies. Old Hall Honey has no added ingredients, it is pure honey made by our extremely clever School Bees!
