Playfull Toyshop was set up by Kerstin and Nigel Price in the summer of 2002. Kerstin started making cloth dolls for their own three children in the 1980s. She continued making them for friends and family and began selling them at school fairs. At this point Kerstin and Nigel began importing hand-made wooden toys from Sweden (where Kerstin is from). The opportunity came along to open a shop on Bristol’s famous Gloucester Rd. and the rest is history!
