A SPECIAL 45KM LOOP (MEASURED IN COUNTRY MILES) WITH 7 ALPINE-STYLE STAGES ON NATURAL ROCK-STREWN TERRAIN AND PRACTICE ON FRIDAY. EVENT DESCRIPTION The Ard Rock Enduro takes place on 100% natural, rock-strewn and rough terrain only rideable in the event. There’s zero trail centre kitty litter at Ard Rock, just ancient trails and paths with more flowing, steep and technical riding under your wheels than you can shake a stick at. The entire route will be purpose marked for the event and offers a ‘once only’ opportunity to hit up some unique natural rocky zones. But be warned, the Ard Rock stages contain a mixture of flat out fast gullies, off road tracks, steep rocky chutes and technical single tracks that demand a good level of skill and fitness… Saturday’s Ard Rock Enduro is the headline event for competent riders who really care about position, and posting the fastest times. It’s much bigger and different to your average Enduro, but by spacing you out we’ll give you the best chance, setting each rider off separately or in your own groups. EVENT FORMAT The Ard Rock Enduro will take place on Saturday with the opportunity to practice a limited course on Friday, meaning you’ll be racing an exciting mix of known and unknown stages. If you’re in a team or a group of mates, enter a group code when registering so we can do our best to make sure you all set off together. Start times for both the race and registration will be sent to all riders two weeks before the event. Transitions are flexible so you can ride with your mates and you can expect to be out on the course anywhere from 4 hours plus, covering around 2500 meters of combined climbing and descending. Riders will set off from the event village in waves of 20 every 5 minutes. A cut off time of 5 hours 30 minutes will be enforced for safety and timing reasons.
