  • This beautiful signed and limited edition print, number 24/300 is from the STARDUST book/movie by the utterly amazing Neil Gaiman and illustrated by the wonderful Charles Vess is now out of print and I challenge anyone to find another copy for sale anywhere! This print is coming from my own collection of prints and books by the lovely Neil because I have come to realise that this could be supporting vulnerable people struggling to 'heat or eat' this year. In 2021 I am reading about children going to school on empty bellies, needing coats, shoes and warm clothing, parents who are starving themselves in order to feed their children, single people facing the dilemma of feeding themselves or their pet with the horror of perhaps having to give up their pets which are often their only support and that keeps them sane, the same applies to homeless people, many have pets which automatically excludes them from many shelters, but those self same pets are literally (as I have discovered recently by talking to one of these vulnerable people) what stops them from jumping off a bridge or in front of a train. This year a combination of financial changes such as the cut to Universal Credit payments would culminate in a perfect storm that would leave many people worse off. The prices of a weekly shop have skyrocketed and so many people, even those in work are being faced with the dilemma of heat or eat. And its not just the cost of food that is rising, fuel is at an all time high right now which means if you live in a rural area or even in a town the cost of getting to work is becoming prohibitive and in many other cases some families and people just cannot afford their heating bills. Just imagine for one moment what that must feel like. There are so many bigger charities out there that can afford to publicise their need for donations whilst many smaller and more independent charities staffed by volunteers and where the money goes directly to every single case they have referred to them are forgotten. So this year it is my intention to raise the profile and support as many of those smaller charities and I hope you will all support me by buying a ticket!
