Sweepstake Summary

WIN UP TO 48 PRIZES worth hundreds of pounds by supporting the fundraising for Compassionate Care for MNGIE. MNGIE (mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy) is an ultra-rare life-shortening genetic condition that blocks the production of a particular enzyme, causing a build-up of metabolites in the blood that damages mitochondria. So rare in fact, that there are only around 200 people documented to have the condition worldwide. Sadly, Verity is one of these cases. MNGIE is an unmerciful condition that impacts many areas of the body and causes it to slowly degenerate. Verity is a mummy to a beautiful 2 year old boy and a wonderful teacher. This raffle is an initiative to support fundraising for Enzyme Replacement Therapy, a treatment that has been approved for compassionate care for MNGIE and will take place at St George's University Hospital, but at the patient's own cost. All the prizes have kindly been donated by many businesses from different sectors to support the fundraiser.
