Have you ever wanted to travel in the front cab of a train whilst it is in service? Well this is your chance! In aid of Cancer Research, we are holding a charity auction. The winners will get chance to travel in the front cab, with a driver instructor, whilst the train is in service. Please read the whole of the descriptions before purchasing a ticket. One prize will be a return trip from Colchester to London* One prize will be a return trip from Peterborough to Ipswich* One prize will be a full day out with a driver instructor for their full diagram going over route including Colchester to London* and Ipswich to Peterborough* *these are subject to change on the day if there is disruption. The participant will be returned to Colchester in the event of any major disruption. This is a very rare opportunity as access UK mainline train cabs is strictly controlled. Please read the terms and conditions below before entering as tickets will not be refunded once purchased . Participants must be over 18. Once the raffle has finished the winners will be contacted and the dates for the experience will be arranged around the participants availability but the experiences must take place on a weekday! If you have any questions please: • Email [email protected] (this email address has been created by the driver instructor will be monitored directly by the driver instructor) • Tweet @greateranglia including the hashtag #cabexperience and they will forward your question to the driver instructor and get back to you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The train cab experience - Terms and Conditions This experience is only available to participants over the age of 18, please do not bid if you are aged below 18 or are bidding on behalf of someone aged under 18. Participants will be given a briefing beforehand regarding cab protocol and safety, participants agree that they are willing to abide by cab protocols and comply with all instructions given by the driver. The driver reserves the right to require participants to leave the cab at any point if the driver feels that safety may be compromised. Filming will not be allowed during the experience. Mobile telephones must be switched off and remain off at all times whilst in the cab. This is a rare opportunity to see the working life of a train driver, the driver will explain what he is doing but participants will not have the opportunity to operate train controls themselves.

Full day cab experience including a return trip Colchester to London* and a return trip Ipswich to Peterborough*. *All subject to change due to any disruption on the day This experience will start at 1430 at Colchester North Railway Station where the participant will get a brief from the Driver Instructor. I will finish at around midnight at Colchester. The participant will need to get themselves to Colchester North station for the start time. The participant will be returned to Colchester if there is any major disruption on the day of the experience.

Return trip from Colchester to London Liverpool Street*. *All subject to change due to any disruption on the day This experience will start at 1430 at Colchester North Railway Station where the participant will get a brief from the Driver Instructor. It will finish at around 1730 back at Colchester. The participant will need to get themselves to Colchester North station for the start time. The participant will be returned to Colchester if there is any major disruption on the day of the experience.

Return Trip from Ipswich to Peterborough* *All subject to change due to any disruption on the day This experience will start at 1600 at Colchester North Railway Station where the participant will be taken to Ipswich to get a brief from the Driver Instructor. It will finish at around 2200 back at Colchester. The participant will need to get themselves to Colchester North station for the start time. The participant will be returned to Colchester if there is any major disruption on the day of the experience.
