Geraint Thomas's Tour de France 2022 gilet has become a thing! Geraint when competing in stage 1 of this year's Tour, accidentally rode the TT in his Gilet which is something all keen cyclists will know, doesn't help in ensuring the ride can be as quick as possible with unnecessary layers being added, all of this when the rider is focused on being as aerodynamic as possible. To try and turn this TT mishap into a positive, Geraint asked for fans to ensure that the Gilet travels safely from Copenhagen to meet him again at the final stage in Paris. Fans have been sharing their experiences daily as the Gilet has had a different fan looking after it each day and sharing their experience whilst building a stronger connection between fans across each stage. Once safely back into Geraint's hands, the Gilet will be raffled with all proceeds going to the Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust that has been established to help more children aged 7-18 enjoy cycling as a sport.
