Introducing the P790 Ti, meticulously designed with a hollow titanium body, injection and a tungsten insert, TaylorMade engineers used the most advanced materials available to deliver increased ball speed and breakthrough distance. Featuring a Titanium body (9-1-1 Ti) and machined 6-4 Titanium face (6-4 Ti) form a super lightweight hollow-body iron designed to deliver explosive distance and forgiveness. Combined with extreme tungsten weighting (up to 117g) locked into the back bar of each iron enabling a high launch, with low spin trajectory to maximize distance. A hollow cavity uses SpeedFoam Technology, a new proprietary construction, which serves a dual purpose of generating ball speed as well as optimizing sound and feel. Injected into the clubhead, SpeedFoam provides the face support and sound-damping properties that make the performance of the P790 Ti unlike any other iron in the TaylorMade family. Fitted as standard with the Mitsubushi MMT shaft for a lighter weight performance designed to generate distance with control.

Taylormade have brought their brand new P790 Range and have included the new P790 Ti irons which are a titanium compound iron, the first of its kind in this range. They have a titanium head with a tungsten insert to help create maximum distance through achieving incredible ball speed. The thought process behind the titanium head is to make the head as lightweight as possible by making it hollow to give both forgiveness and long, penetrating ball flights. There is a tungsten weighting system which has been worked into the back of the head which helps to produce a high launch to get the ball up in the air to produce max distance. The weights also help to get the optimum CG so that spin can be reduced on impact which helps to add the penetrating flights to the shots. Speedfoam has been a technology that Taylormade have been implementing in their clubs for some time now and they use it again in the P790 Ti. The injected material is used to improve ball speed whilst also adding to the feel of the strike.
