Sweepstake Summary

ABOUT THE PRIZE Folklore, Myths and Legends of Britain is the holy grail of books on the subject of British folklore and is one of the most treasured books in the Team Hwæt! research library. This much coveted, long out of print folklore bible is one that every bookshelf should have, but these days they can be hard to come by at a reasonable price. First printed by Reader's Digest in 1977, this tome contains nearly 600 pages of writings, photographs, and illustrations that delve into the world of folklore and beyond. One winner, drawn at random, will win a good quality first edition copy of this incredible book, as well as number 1/100 of our limited edition Magpie Bookmarks. Team Hwæt! has put together this charity raffle to accompany the sale of our the charity bookmark which we created to raise money for The Magpie Project. Bookmarks are available to purchase at www.hwaetzine.com and all profits also go directly to the charity. ABOUT THE CHARITY The Magpie Project supports women with pre-school children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide a safe, warm space to play for families whose homes can be cramped, uncomfortable, and sometimes unsafe. Their play sessions give families moments of creativity and joy that can improve resilience and build community, and while their children play, mums can access support on housing, immigration, domestic violence, and other related issues. They also offer nappies, wipes, buggies, clothes and other family essentials through their baby bank, as well as healthy breakfasts and lunch. Their mission is to reduce the negative impacts that growing up in temporary or insecure accommodation can have on children’s social, emotional, and physical development, and put a safety net under mums so that they feel supported in their parenting through this time of stress. You can purchase as many tickets as you like, the more tickets, the more chance of winning with every penny going to support a very important cause. 100% of ticket sales will be sent directly to this wonderful charity once the winner has been drawn. Delivery of the prize, worldwide is also included. Winners will be drawn on 5th March 2023 at 6pm GOOD LUCK!
