We have decided to raffle 2 ghosts from our personal collection of York Ghosts in aid of DBA UK with the consent of the Merchants. The first £26 + £6 p+p for each ghost will be retained to stand the cost of the ghosts and details regarding postage are listed below :) Original boxes and tissue paper for large ghost will also be included. Entry to the raffle will include a chance to win one of the ghosts photographed! 1st Prize: A Goodhope Prototype Original (£17) 2nd Prize: A Beach Boo (£9) I am running the Great North Run in September - my first ever half marathon - in support of DBA UK. The total raised beyond costs and fees will be donated directly to my Justgiving page! My cousin William is 14 years old and suffers from a rare bone marrow failure disease called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. He receives regular blood transfusions every 3 weeks in order to keep him alive. He also has various other medical procedures and receives treatment for the build up of iron in his body caused by all the blood transfusions. DBA UK is a small charity and relies on a very small number of people to fundraise to provide money to fund vital research into this disease. It also provides important support to families while they go through the difficulties of battling DBA. William is affected by this illness every single day of his life and we would love to continue to support the charity that has supported all of his family so much over the years since William was only a few months old. UK postage will be covered by the raffle, but I am happy to post worldwide if you are willing to pay the difference in cost!
