I’m raising money for my mum and stepdad to help them pay for their dog Bosley’s operation. He tore his right cruciate ligament in April and he had an operation to fix that in August. Unfortunately he tore the ligament in his other leg just two weeks before the first operation and had to have another operation this month, but they couldn’t claim anything from the insurance for his second op as they class it as a "bilateral condition" and they only pay out once even though it's a different leg. The surgery that he's already had on each leg is TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy) where they cut across his tibia and insert metal wear to stabilise the joint. Overall they’ve paid just under £7000 and have only been able to claim £1,600 back from the insurance company (£2,000 per condition minus 20% they have to pay as he's over 8 years old). I’m trying to help raise as much as possible to help them! Only recently they lost their other dog Tess, and now they’re going through all of this with Bosley! I’ve already done a big raffle with lots of small businesses that raised £362 and a go fund me that raised £190. I’m hoping this little YGM raffal will help them a little more! Thank you!
