Win a Brand New unopened Google Doorbell! Overview I have one of these and they are great. It senses motion and will show or message you about what it can see. It can tell the difference between people, packages, animals and vehicles. You will receive a notification if someone rings the bell, you can see them, hear them and speak to them from your phone. I like it as I get the reassurance when I see the kids have arrived home safely. I also liked the way you can link to other Google devices so I didn’t need to buy a separate chime unit like some other doorbells need. Hopefully this auction will give someone the chance to own one as well! Chime You can select from the generic tones or a more festive one. This changes depending which month it is (example: Dec - Christmas jingles) and you can do birthday chimes as well. Record There is no need to subscribe to the Nest Aware if you wish to use it as a doorbell but if you want to record the last 30 or 60 days of activity then you can add a Nest Aware subscription. If you have a Google One account then you get the Nest Aware free. Google devices If you have any Google Nest, Minis or the Hub Max then you can hear or see the doorbell through them. We use the Minis and a Hub Max to hear the doorbell. The Hub Max will show us who is there as well. We have also trained the doorbell to identify people as they turn up. It will announce family as they arrive! The Google Support page helps with all the setting up. Battery The kit comes with everything you need to install it yourself. As this is the battery version you don’t need any wires added. I worked out the best place for it, tried it with the angle bracket (included in the box) and then attached it to the wall. Very easy. There is a release key to remove it when it needs recharging. Reconnecting and disconnecting can take a little bit of getting used to but it is secure. I charge my doorbell every 4 to 6 weeks. It will give you a warning if it needs charging and takes a few hours. I do mine overnight so don’t see how long it takes but it’s ready in the morning. Awesome piece of kit. Fingers crossed you win.
