I LOVE this boat, and I have poured my heart and soul into her, I want her new owners to feel confident that they can take care of her as well as I have! ❓But I live in a different country... No problem, if you want to sell her I can do all the leg work for you. If you want her in a specific marina I can take her there for you. Whatever you need, we can make it work! ❓Does the boat come with a Mooring? Upon your new ownership and handing over the boat, you will be required to purchase a Canal and River Trust licence. The cost of this is around £110 a month. This means you can moor the boat (on a continuous cruising basis) along any public stretch of the canals & rivers that the CRT manages. I will offer my knowledge and guidance to the winner. This is a truly amazing way to live and experience the boating lifestyle! Alternatively, there are plenty of long-term residential moorings available across the country to suit a range of budgets (and are generally much cheaper than rent!) - again I can help you! These can be found at marinas, boatyards and in towns/cities, should the winner wish to take up a more permanent location. ❓How much does it cost to run? These are costs based on my lifestyle and the way I choose to live. Everyone has different needs so prices will vary. 💲CRT Continuous Cruiser licence (waste removal, water, up-keep of the canal system) - £110 approx 💲 Wifi (free till Feb 2025) £33 💲 Diesel - roughly £80 to fill a tank 💲 Electricity - Free in summer, Diesel powered charging in winter for roughly 1hr per day from Oct-March 💲Wood and Coal - varies massively depending on weather conditions, rising costs, availability etc. 💲Insurance - £300 per year 💲Monthly savings recommended for maintenance such as bi-yearly blacking, engine service etc. £ up to you! 💲 Mooring fees - dependant on location. A mooring in Oxfordshire can go between £200-£300 per month ❓Am I running the prize draw regardless of ticket sales? Once the minimum target has been reached, the boat will be won!
