Delivery options include royal mail special delivery for all UK participants and courier service for international deliveries. This gyuto is forged from 90 layers of the tried and tested high carbon tool steels 1095 and 15N20, and incorporates a forged hollow kurouchi (forge finish) behind the bevels for added food release. Hardned and tempered with versatility in mind, the gyutos bevels were flattened and polished on whet stones before being etched to reveal the damascus pattern in the steel. The edge is then sharpend using whet stones. The gyuto itself maintains an edge length of 220mm and a total length of 230mm, coming in at 70mm deep at heel, with a 6mm - 0.5mm distal taper through spine. The main body of the handle is made from 5000 year old Bog Oak and contains two strips of brass for improved weight and balance. The handle is 140mmx36x36mm at its widest, with a gentle taper through every plane in towards the heel of the knife. The gyuto weighs a total of 255 grams.
