At a recent visit to their factory in Robertsbridge, Sussex we were able to look at a range of bats that had been made up for the likes of Babar Azam, Zak Cradley and Ollie Pope. In the end we opted for Yorkshire and England batter Harry Brook’s shape. The bat that Alex has produced for us is truly exception. Picking up light, exceptional ping, the exact shape that we’ve seen on Harry’s own bats, and dressed in his combination of Shockwave livery and yellow grip. This is not a retail bat, and is instead, what we would see being given to actual top end professional batters. The shape is completely full, duckbilled and with a flat unfinished toe all hallmarks that we see on pro bats. UK retailers have marketed player GN bats in the past, but on inspection they have never actually been the same as what we see in county dressing rooms. This stick on the other hand is exactly what we’d expect one of the most explosive batters in English cricket to have when walking out to bat.
