Inspired by the resilience of the Palestinian people this print features many elements of Palestinian culture and resistance, such as the olive branches, linked both to peace and the historic horticulture of the region, the house keys of those displaced in the Nakba and the traditional keffiyeh scarf, which have become an international symbol of resistance and liberation. This print was inspired by the sheer strength, resilience and beauty of the Palestinian people & their connection to their homeland and people. OLIVES: symbolic of Palestinian roots and connection to the earth. KEFFIYEH:a traditional headscarf composed of three iceonio elements: Olives, fishing nets (& the connection to the Mediterranean Sea), and trade routes. Feet in this print symbolise the direct connection to the earth, stability, strength and perseverance of parents in this impossible situation. CHILDREN & BABIES: Half of all deaths in Gaza have been kids. Please fight for them, loudly.
