To celebrate his visit, Simon has generously donated a rare bottle of Poet Laureate’s Sherry, a tradition dating back to the 1600s, where the Poet Laureate was gifted a butt (barrel) of Sherry as part of their appointment. This special bottle features a unique label designed by Simon’s wife, Sue Armitage, and includes his poem about the legendary Marsden Cuckoo. We are raffling off this exclusive bottle to raise funds for Liskeard Library, helping us continue to provide creative and community-driven opportunities and services for all.
