I am raffling a signed A3 mounted print (mounts to fit a standard 16"x20" frame) my award winning image of The Wallace Statue at The National Wallace Monument in Stirling. This photograph won me the People's Choice Award in the prestigious British Photography Awards which were held in London, 2024. The print will be signed on the rear. The statue depicts Wallace in a defiant pose, holding a sword aloft in one hand and a shield in the other, symbolising his role as a defender and guardian of Scotland. Photographed just after sunset, the vibrant sunset colours compliment the statue which is illuminated in artificial orange lights. This image is not possible without a drone due to the statue's elevated position on the monument. The aim of this raffle is to raise funds for my charity abseil from the Falkirk Wheel on the 14th of March in the aid of the NHS Lothian Charity. I will be wearing my kilt (which has my two favourite colours in it - Yellow and Blue, **hint hint**) and highland cow costume! There will be plenty of photographs and maybe a video! Having spent the majority of my adult life working in the NHS (Scottish Health Service), I can say it has been an incredibly rewarding career, I wanted to choose an NHS Charity. The NHS Lothian Charity works in strategic partnership with NHS Lothian to fund major improvements to hospital facilities, life-saving research, and specialist medical equipment, as well as supporting projects that reduce health inequalities and preventable hospital admissions. This fundraising effort is my way of giving back and supporting the invaluable services the NHS provide every day. Your support and donations will make a huge difference, helping to ensure that it can continue its vital work. All money received from this raffle will go towards my abseil.
