To raise money for Parkinson's UK, we're raffling off two adult weekend tickets to the NIHL Steel City Showdown, courtesy of the NIHL Events Team. A bit of background: Viewers of the BOTW What's Current Stream on Youtube, the only live show that covers all the levels of the NIHL will have heard the story about my dad. One day he noticed he had a pain in his back. The pain didn't go away and after a lot of tests, it was discovered that he had Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's is a degenerative condition with no cure and at just 54 years of age, my dad had his life turned upside down. 11 years later, my dad is making do with a loss mobility in his left side, electrodes in his brain to help with the tremors and now, Parkinson's Dementia. At the age most people are looking to retire, my dad is living the best life that he can but one with many challenges that are hard to imagine. When the NIHL management gave me two tickets to give away, they said to me "Anthony, do what you want to give them away". So I figured, why not raise some money to help research a cure and to help folk with this horrible illness. It's that simple. All the money goes to Parkinson's UK and £1 a ticket could get you two tickets worth £60 each! Please don't spend more than you can afford but let's see if we can raise a few quid, shall we.
