The former Steelers Captain who is now the inclusion centre lead at Netherthorpe School, Jonathan Phillips, and Chesterfield FC Community Trust’s Youth Diversion Team have been working with a group of students from Netherthorpe School for over a year and the progress that the young people have made has been excellent. The young people have planned to fundraise to raise money for the inclusion centre which could provide new equipment and increased opportunities. The inclusion centre provides the students with a safe space where they feel comfortable when they are facing challenges in school. They have also decided to donate 50% of the funds to the chosen charity Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Their first fundraiser is a raffle, with the chance to win a signed Steelers jersey, kindly donated by the team. Thank you in advance from the students at Netherthorpe.
