I’m raising money by doing a raffle for KidsBank Chester, a small, local charity that does incredible work supporting families in need. Since having kids of my own, I’ve realized how much we take for granted when it comes to providing even the basics for our children and babies – things like clothes, sleepwear, and essential baby items such as nappies and wipes, which every child deserves. The thought of not being able to give my kids these essentials is heart breaking, and sadly, this is the reality for many families in our community. It’s important to remember that it’s not the children’s fault they are struggling; they deserve the same chance to grow up with dignity and comfort as anyone else. KidsBank Chester steps in to help by providing these necessities to families who are struggling. To also raise money, I’ve challenged myself to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in 12 hours. This involves climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough – a total of 24 miles and over 1,500m of ascent! I’m not an experienced hiker, and the only mountain I’ve ever climbed was Snowdon as a child, so this is a challenge for me.
