In the UK, the red poppy is the national symbol of remembrance. Poppies are flowers of the fields which, despite the devastation and horrific loss of life in war torn Europe, flourished and grew on battlefields. On 8 May 2025 we marked the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and The Lincoln VE 80 Project honoured the occasion with an installation of stunning handcrafted ceramic poppies, shaped into a Lancaster Bomber, created using over 20,000 individual and unique flowers. The display ended on 7 Sept 2025 and one of our incredible supporters has gifted us a Poppy from the display to raise funds for War Paws to continue helping the forgotten animals of war.

A beautiful handcrafted ceramic Poppy that came from a display of 20,000 poppies that were shaped into a Lancaster Bomber in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. This beautiful poppy will be shipped to the winner in a beautiful spire shaped box and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
