The Aztec Calendar 1oz Silver Round features on its reverse a depiction of the ancient Aztec calendar stone with the sun god Tonatiuh at its centre. The Obverse features a portrait of the last of the Aztec Emperor of Tenochtitlan, Cuauhtémoc wearing a traditional Aztec headdress. Also included on the obverse is a border of Aztec pattern as well as the metal purity, weight and the monetary denomination. Each round contains 1 Troy Ounce of 999.0 Fine Silver. Minted in the USA. Struck to a bullion finish. Diameter: 36.04mm Thickness: 4.6mm. Rounds are NEW. Other Information The Aztec Sun Calendar the XiuhpÅhualli is comprised of eighteen months of twenty days each. This calendar is not based on the moon like modern calendar systems but by the days. The Aztecs also had a religious ritual calendar called the TÅnalpÅhualli.
