Enter Raffle to Win Peter Doherty Fanzine 1994 QPR
Raffle Summary
This ultra rare piece of Peter Doherty memorabilia will need no introduction to the Libertines and Babyshambles fans out there. 6 years before The Libertines signed their first record deal, a 15 year old Pete was writing about his first love - Queens Park Rangers FC - as the 'youngest fanzine editor in the country'. NME article about the fanzine here: www.nme.com/news/music/cmon-u-rs-a-rare-copy-of-pete-dohertys-first-qpr-fanzine-has-been-discovered-2482905 QPR blog article here: www.indyrs.co.uk/2016/02/pete-doherty-when-it-was-all-quiet-on-the-western-avenue I managed to come by two copies of issue one in a sports memorabilia shop around the mid noughties. Being an obsessive fan of Peter and his bands at the time, to my teenage self it was like finding the holy grail. Now it's time to let one of them go and see if I can get a little pocket money for my adult self! (I might put the second one up in time if the demand is there.) I was thinking 400 tickets at £2 with 15% going to charity sounds like a fair pitch. I HAVE GIVEN AN END DATE IN THE DISTANT FUTURE BUT PLEASE NOTE AS SOON AS THE 400TH TICKET IS SOLD, THE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED. I AM NOT WILLING TO LET THIS RARE ITEM GO UNLESS ALL 400 TICKETS ARE SOLD. IN THE EVENT OF THE COMPETITION ENDING WITHOUT ALL 400 TICKETS BEING SOLD, THE SELECTED WINNER WILL RECEIVE 75% OF TICKET SALES AND I WILL KEEP THE ITEM AS PER RAFFALL RULES. (RAFFALL GET THE OTHER 25% - I WILL MAKE NO MONEY IN THIS SCENARIO)
