For those that know me, I have made some big changes in my life over recent years which all began ten years ago when I left the Finance Industry and walked through the doors of Silkworth Lodge as their new CEO, a role that I would never have imagined would become a passion as opposed to just a job. Everyday I count myself lucky to be in the position that I am in doing the job that I do with an amazing team round me delivering services within the island and further afield that are effectively helping people change their lives for the better.This year I celebrate 10 years at Silkworth Lodge and I could not think of a better way to mark that accomplishment by taking part in this boxing event and raising money for the charity that has played a huge part in mine and my families lives. The charity has worked within the community supporting alcohol/addicts and their families for nearly 25 years. In 2020 we will be launching our teenager and adolescent programme which will be the first of its kind in the whole of the UK and one of only two in Europe. This is such a significant development in our strategy and something that is greatly needed , so the charity needs to raise as much as possible which will go towards the development costs of this unique suite of adolescent programmes.
