The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was set up following Sophie’s brutal murder in an unprovoked hate crime attack, which was motivated by her alternative appearance. The Foundation’s mission is to advocate for the alternative community and educate, particularly young people, that difference is something to be celebrated, not feared.
