Raffle Summary

Charity Quiz in Memory of Bella Gray As a lot of you may know, we lost our daughter Bella to Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer, on 11th July 2023, this was her 6th Birthday. We believe that Bella died due to lack of available and viable treatment options. All childhood cancers combined receive just 4% of government allocated research funds - when a large proportion of childhood cancers, including Neuroblastoma, are isolated solely to children (and every adult was once a child!), this is unfathomable. During Bella's gruelling treatment that lasted over 2.5 years, she regularly received drugs that were intended for adults over the age of 25. High Risk Neuroblastoma has a survival rate of 50%, which drops to just 10% if a child relapses. We hope to raise money to help change these statistics, as well as to help children and families whilst going through this very difficult time. These charities were invaluable to Bella and our family during her treatment and after her death: Solving Kids Cancer, Barretstown, Children's Cancer Unit Charity and Neuroblastoma UK (we aim to help Neuroblastoma UK through buying books called 'The Princess who had no Hair' to give to the Haematology ward at RBHSC - the money from the sale of this book goes to Neuroblastoma UK). We will be completing the raffle at The Dark Horse at our Charity Quiz in memory of our amazing Bella - but don't worry if you can't make it, you will receive an email if you are a lucky winner! Raffle tickets can be purchased until 22:00 on 14/04/24 (night of the quiz), we will have QR codes out on the tables on the night!! The proceeds from the raffle will be going to Solving Kids Cancer, who are striving for better outcomes for children and families affected by neuroblastoma.
