Raffle Summary

Own a Rare piece of history with this bottle of Château Lynch Bages 1945 !!!!! Lynch Bages, which has a long history in Bordeaux takes its name from the local area where the chateau is located in Bages. The vineyard of what was to become Lynch Bages was established and then expanded by the Dejean family who sold it in 1728 to Pierre Drouillard. In 1749, Drouillard bequeathed the estate to his daughter, Elizabeth, the wife of Thomas Lynch. This is how the estate came to belong to the Lynch family, where it remained for seventy-five years and inspired the name Lynch Bages The Château Lynch Bages 1945 is the first of a remarkable series of post war wine that will blow you away. Certainly alive and really rather a bruiser actually, with an impactful nose full of iron filings, rich cassis and toffee, fresh coffee, old oak, and smoke. The fruit is rich, succulent, and very muscular on the palate, conveying more punch than charm with lots of earthen, old oak, and smoky notes. The tannins have mostly melted away but this remains decidedly masculine in style. this really is a rare opportunity. YOUVE GOT TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT !!!!!!!!
