Quinta de La Rosa Porto Finest Reserve A Vintage Character-style combined port of great quality and complexity. It presents a deep and beautiful ruby color, with many fruits to the front, full-bodied and with a long dry finish. The light dry finish is typical of La Rosa's house style Producer Quinta de la Rosa: belongs to the Bergqvist family since 1906 and currently has 55 hectares of vineyards. Located in the north of Portugal at 100kms from Porto. It is located in the heart of the Alto Douro in the area of 'A' quality grapes, on the banks of the Douro River near Pinhão. In all the ports of La Rosa traditional treading is done on foot and some of the Reserva table wines also undergo a cold maceration in mills.

This port is produced every year in the traditional way trodden in granite mills from grapes grown at Quinta de la Rosa. The finest Reserve is then mixed from our port stocks to produce consistent quality; this mixing occurs regularly to ensure that stocks are always fresh. The ports of each year are stored and mature in our own accommodation and it is from these stocks that we mix our Best Reserve. The average age of the port in our Finest Reserve mix is around 6-7 years. Unlike most port transporters, all products are stored and bottled in the Douro (in La Rosa and not in Porto), allowing full traceability and guaranteeing the quality of the grape by the bottle.
