Close to a river in Romania were FIVE abandoned siblings from one mom and another TWO from a different mum. These puppies had been there a few days. They were reported to Georgiana Neagu, SOS ARMS, by a few people and also by the police who went to feed them. Nobody was going to help them. They were sleeping in the middle of the road and it was just a matter of time before they would be run over. A car would hardly notice them as it's very dark. One was sleeping in the grass and was obviously very sick. One of the small ones was probably hit already as she has problems with her back legs and an inflammation in her tummy. All are full of lice, fleas, mites and have large tummies. Georgiana went straight to the clinic with the puppies and had them tested for Parvovirus. The dog that was looking sick, the bigger one, tested positive for Parvovirus. The brother was negative. Then the three little ones were tested and sadly they were positive for parvovirus. They only look around five weeks old. They had just two available places for sick puppies and this is the only clinic who hospitalise with viral disease. The very sick dog and the tiny one who has back leg problems were left at the clinic.. The puppies were all wormed both internally and externally. They are scratching constantly and they are in very poor condition. There was no more room for the others to be hospitalised so Georgiana had a bag full of medicine and fluids to administer. Special food is needed for these puppies for as long as they are eating and hopefully that will be a long time. Trying to save their lives will be very expensive...
