WIN a £100 LOSTROCKSTAR.CO.UK clothing voucher. On the 13th August 2018 our twin boys arrived extremely premature after just 23 weeks and 5 days gestation, some 16 weeks premature. Both boys were taken onto the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hull Royal Infirmary. Sadly our fabulous son Fletcher passed away peacefully and pain free in our arms on 17th August 2018. Fletchers twin brother battled hard on NICU for over 130 days and made it home just days before Christmas. We cannot thank the staff of NICU enough. They have to be the hardest working staff in the NHS. Each baby in the Red Room (Intensive Care Room) has a dedicated nurse one to one 24 hours a day. A minute never goes by without the nurses tending to machines, doing observations and performing life saving procedures, given the nature and frailty of the babies. Whilst this is still a very difficult time, we would like to celebrate Fletchers life and help the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit who looked after both Fletcher and his brother. As a legacy to Fletcher, we would like to raise funds to help towards life saving equipment, children’s books and premature clothing. Each of these will go a long way to helping other families who find themselves at NICU. Thank you for your support.
