Up for raffle is a wonderful rare photograph, hand signed and dated on the mount by Winston Churchill: ("Winston S. Churchill, 1955"), showing Churchill half-length seated in a bergère. Ready for a frame, this is a very fine example due to the preservation of the signature. A fine large-format print of one of Churchill's favourite photographs of himself, selected by him for use in the election campaign. The photographer, Florence Vivienne Mellish (working as 'Vivienne') was mother of Anthony Beauchamp, the husband of Churchill's daughter Sarah and himself a society photographer. Photographers stamp on reverse. Dimensions of photograph: 13CM x 16CM. Also included with this item is a rare hand signed photograph of Spanish classical guitarist Andres Segovia which is dedicated to Guillermo. Provenance: Ambassador Count Guillermo De Blanck y Menocal (who was close friends with Churchill). These items were originally attained from Guillermo's son, the Italian painter Dario De Blanck. Dario passed away in 2013 and as a child was actually introduced to painting by Sir Winston Churchill himself!
