I have been fortunate to have worked for “THE 1975” for 5 years as their stage manager. Over the course of 3 album cycles, the crew and I have ensured the show has been a success for the band. It’s been a pleasure & a job we all love. Back in March 2020 our industry stopped overnight, due to the world wide pandemic. We had just finished THE 1975 UK arena tour and due to fly to start the American leg in April 2020. The majority of our crew members went from having a years worth of work to nothing. Tens of thousands of pounds lost in income for the crew. Now due to the resurgence of the virus the band, management and I wanted to start a fundraiser for the crew of “THE 1975” This album plaque was gifted to me in 2017 to celebrate selling 100,000 copies in the UK, of “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet unaware of it”. Upon receiving the album plaque, I asked the band to sign it as I was proud to receive such an incredible one off gift and wanted to make it unique. This was the only one signed. However THE 1975 have kindly offered to make a one of a kind, personalised album plaque. The winner of this prize competition will receive one the same as shown in the photos, but it will be personalised to them. It will have their name printed on it and each band member will sign it to it to the winner. Also the winner will receive 2 x tickets to the show of their choice when new dates are announced. This is valid world wide on all “The 1975” shows. With the funds raised from this prize competition we plan to split the money with the crew members of “THE 1975” to allow us all to breathe a little easier.
