So pleased and fortunate to have this Limited Edition Wales Rugby Shirt from the Autumn Nations Cup 2020, individually signed by the team and generously gifted by George North. All proceeds from the raffle will go to Alex Jones’s CRY Memorial Fund (Cardiac Risk in the Young). Alex was a proficient cyclist and time trial competitor, originally from Anglesey, living in Denbighshire at the time. On 30 March 2019 on a sunny Spring day Alex suffered a cardiac arrest and died whilst out cycling in the Welsh hills that he loved. This raffle is held in support of the memorial fund set up by his family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in their aim of preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through a programme of awareness, screening and research. Each week in the UK an average of 12 fit & healthy young people die suddenly from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. CRY runs heart screenings up and down the country for young people (aged 14-35) to identify those at risk. Our Goal: To raise enough money to fund a free screening event for young sports people across North Wales. Fund raising will then continue to host further events across the North West.
