Victoria Park Vixens FC is hosting a raffle to celebrate the Football Welcomes Month, an initiative hosted by Amnesty International UK that celebrates the contribution players with a refugee background make to the beautiful game, and the positive role football can play in bringing people together and creating more welcoming communities. https://www.amnesty.org.uk/football-welcomes-refugees Each raffle ticket is £5 and will give you a chance to win all 3 amazing prizes, VPV kit, an off-white Nike Ball and a Skincare kit from Carbon Theory. All money raised will be donated to Renaissance FC, a 5-a-side football team for asylum seekers aged 16-22 aimed at improving their physical and mental health & supporting their social integration. Asylum seekers have minimal state support, cannot work and often lack adequate support networks. They are therefore reliant on projects such as this to access recreational activities. Renaissance FC aims to improve young refugees physical and mental health & support their social integration within the community through football.
