In the absence of the FoGHS Summer Fair, we are encouraging girls to arrange their own "Mad Hatter" tea parties and are suggesting some games and activities (such as this raffle !) to enjoy. No hassle of paper tickets but the same array of fun prizes. Please spread the word among your family and friends, anyone can buy tickets and there are fabulous prizes to be won. We have tried to support small or local businesses where possible this year to support traders who may be suffering due to the pandemic. Raffall will do the draw and contact winners directly, prizes can be sent straight to the winners or local collection can be arranged all within COVID safe guidelines.

Queen of Hearts Afternoon Tea (for 2 adults and 2 children) at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, Central London. Enjoy beautifully designed pastries and scrumptious savoury treats inspired by the foul-tempered monarch from the beloved children’s classic Alice in Wonderland. Some of the sweet temptations down the rabbit hole include: Off With Their Heads - a delicious banana moelleux No White Roses - an indulgent Victorian red velvet cupcake; Running Late - a strawberry pocket watch macaron; Checkmate – a redcurrant and chocolate Battenberg cake; Tea Party at 6 – a dark chocolate hat; and Royal Flush - orange semolina cake, adorned in a chess-like formation. The scrumptious savoury treats and scones are beautifully presented on fine china plates with Sir John Tenniel’s original book illustrations from the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collection. (see photo above) Winner will be presented with a gift voucher (covering 2 adults and 2 children aged 4-11) valid for 6 months allowing them to select a suitable date for their tea.

The annual trip to the Yvonne Arnaud pantomime is a highlight of the school calendar and was much missed in 2020.
