How to Save A Life 8 hour Tattooathon at the Underground Walsall and @holelottalovebodypiercing On Sunday 29th August our amazing team is going to be taking part in an eight-hour-long tattooathon, Plus the Piercing studio will be also taking part and open 10am till 2pm. First come first serve basis ( Full details coming soon) all the proceeds are going to a cause very near to us. We all have been deeply touched by the story of a very brave lady called Susan Buckler, best known as Cheeky. Cheeky is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. Unfortunately despite having willing and compatible donors, she is not eligible for a transplant on the NHS. Cheeky’s family and friends are hoping to raise £55,000 to be able to afford for the transplant offered privately. We so badly wanted to help Cheeky’s cause and do something to help her and her family. We cannot imagine being so close, yet so far from such a vital lifeline. Currently, somebody is added to the transplant waiting list every 9 minutes. But only 39% of the UK are registered as organ donors. By doing this tattooathon we also want to raise awareness of how opting in to be an organ donor can help to save a life, as well as raising money to help Cheeky. One donor can save up to eight different people’s lives. This isn’t just about one person, but about how so many people’s lives can be changed forever by the gift of an organ donation.
