Raffle Summary

This raffle is to raise funds for The Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Simply put, in their own words, they are an international charity, founded way back in 1959, by the celebrated author and naturalist Gerald Durrell. They are committed to saving some of the most vulnerable animals on the planet from the very real risk of extinction. They don't want that to happen (obviously), just the same as you, and are seriously passionate in their efforts to prevent it. Extinction is never inevitable, and their results are testament that. Working against the odds, even with species actually thought extinct (see Madagascar pochard and pygmy hog), they’ve brought back species from the brink of disaster, and continue to do so. Each year there is a charity marathon held to raise funds for The Durrell Wildlife trust . In 2020 their ambassador, Henry Cavill, rather marvellously wore one of my Lion hats whilst running the marathon so this year I thought I’d host a raffle with the prize being a hat just like Henry’s and donate all the proceeds to this fabulous cause. So if you fancy running around the countryside in a magnificent lion hat, you know what to do!
