About the workshop: Location: Victoria Works Studios, Chalford, Stroud Date: Saturday 16th April, 10am-4pm Ticket value: £65 This workshop is a day dedicated to the beautiful art of painting flowers whilst appreciating the season in all its glory. We will cover the basics of botanical illustration, watercolours and observational drawing in a room full of spring blooms. After lunch, you will put your newly learned skills to use and create a watercolour “standing” card or artist’s book of your choosing. At the end of the day you will have your own piece of artwork to take home and know all you need to get started in the world of watercolours. Lunch is not provided but tea, coffee, and cake will be on hand all day. All materials (and flowers!) are provided, however if your garden is overflowing with spring flowers that you'd like to paint, or you have art supplies that you’d like to test, please feel free to bring them along. Please note: if you're purchasing a stake in this competition for a lucky loved one, you must apply with your own details. If you win, the ticket you receive will be open and can be presented by anyone who turns up on the day holding it (digital or printed).
