Since opening its doors in 1770, the original Howwood Inn served the people of Howwood and passing trade from afar for generations as a coach house and hotel. Nestled in the Clyde Valley. South of the central belt between Edinburgh and Glasgow, we are a small dedicated bakery. We produce cakes for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, weddings, baptisms, first communions, funerals in fact for any occasion. Do you really need a reason for a cake ? All our cakes are baked in a sponge of your choice but we would recommend our signature genoese or ganache sponge and filled with either raspberry jam, butter or chocolate cream but whatever you want. We never forget you are the customer and we will strive for perfection for you. We are able to take a picture of your choice which can be used for the part or all of the decoration. We are able to offer for a little extra a hand painted service. Imagine you very own cake with a hand painted image to your specification.
