Raffle Summary

This book, The Sandman: Overture (Gallery Edition) is a monster tome. This is the complete Sandman: Overture saga, scanned from J.H. Williams’’ original art, it is the centerpiece for this large format, Smythe sewn hardcover edition. The numerous double page spreads can be seen in all of their glory and as never before and with minimal gutter interference, thanks to the lay flat feature of these books, it is a feast for the eyes. The book itself measures a hefty 12’’ by 17’’ and weighs at least 4kg, this deluxe volume is printed in high resolution at 200 lines per inch on heavy paper stock to closely approximate the look and feel of the original boards. THIS BOOK IS NOW SOLD OUT AND WAS LIMITED TO 2000 copies.

  • ******PLEASE READ THE POSTAGE INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS DESCRIPTION***** In April this year, UK households faced a record 54 per cent increase in their gas and electricity bills, after regulator Ofgem lifted the maximum rate suppliers can charge to £1,971, reflecting a fourfold increase in the market price of energy. In a few weeks’ time there will be yet another increase in fuel costs and with inflation being at a 40 year high of 10% and climbing millions of families, elderly and children are being pushed further and further to the edge of disaster. We are already reaping the rewards of having a government who just do not give a damn about the ordinary person on the street. Whilst you and I are trying our best to make ends meet the Tories and their cronies are clearing the coffers out and wasting billions of £s of taxpayer’s cash on schemes from the Track and Trace debacle which was never fit for purpose, to dodgy PPE deals with mates, to handing over more than £70 billion to a two-person outfit in Cornwall to manage Net Zero commitment, this is a business that was formerly valued at under £390k, yes that is right, £390 thousand pounds! And let’s not forget the shipping company that had no ships, and all the while saying but we’re giving you £400 of your bills this year, well when the cost of your bills rises above the cost of your income that £400 will only clear a tiny proportion of any debt accrued, and please someone tell me why, JUST WHY are they paying it to the energy companies who are making billions from these price increases and who pay no tax, they are effectively handing them a golden handshake. Shell and BP alone paid no corporation tax on oil and gas production in the North Sea for the last 3 years but managed to pay out more than £44 billion to their shareholders in dividends. The worst is yet to come with Matthew Taylor who is the CEO that represents the NHS leaders coming out and saying that this country is facing a humanitarian crisis where people will have to face the awful choice of heating or eating, whilst many live in squalid cold and damp homes. This week alone I have heard, read and seen so many horror stories, from children going without food and clothing, parents keeping children from school because they cannot afford to send them, and a mother who has been eating one small meal a day and who was hospitalised due to malnutrition so that her kids could eat. CHILDREN will GO HUNGRY, your granny, your grampa your elderly family will GO HUNGRY or die from hypothermia this year because this Tory Government stood by and watched whilst people suffered, they should be held accountable and people should never forget the mess they created in the twelve years they have been in power. What have we become in this country when we allow this to happen. It is time for the man, woman, non-binary, LGBTQ, anyone to STAND UP and be counted. The ONS stated this week that there has been a real decline in pay, the price of a loaf of bread is rising faster than the dough they make it from, and you know you’re in real trouble when supermarkets are putting security tags on even the cheapest of cheese and butter. And whilst Boris Johnson (who is still being paid as PM) goes on his second holiday leaving the country to stagger on, Rishi Sunak blames benefit claimants for the rise of inflation and Liz Truss blames the workers lacking in the ability to work 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Neither of the two candidates are worth having and neither of them give a damn about you or me. Politics led by Westminster is now corrupt beyond the pale. We pay for their 2nd homes, their kids rent, their staff made up of …family or friends… we pay for their heating, their paperclips and every bloody little thing in between. The only thing trickling down from the top of this government is the unholy amount of excrement being poured on us all from a great height. Time, we stopped taking it. I live in Scotland I support Independence because I want a better country for my family, my future family and their families to grow up in, not because I am some rabid nationalist or SNP voter, but because I want to see real change in my lifetime, that is NOT the kind of change we are seeing now feted by Westminster.
