2 years ago, just as we went into the first COVID lockdown, my father's health began to decline after a long battle with cancer. After reading so many heart breaking stories of families not being able to be with loved ones when they passed away during COVID, I'm eternally grateful to Marie Curie for providing 24/7 care to dad in his last days , at home, with his family around him. Today would have been dad's birthday so to remember him and thank the hard work of Marie Curie I am hosting this raffle to raise some money specifically for the Lincoln branch of the charity who helped our family. It costs around £1000 a day for overnight access to trained nurses to provide pain relief and other medication so any money raised through this raffle will be going towards this or the other hospice care Marie Curie provide. I'm unable to link the Lincoln branch specifically to the raffle page but all proceeds will be donated by myself to them at the end of the raffle. I'm lucky enough to live in York close to the popular York Ghost Merchants shop so I pulled together a few special ghosts from my own collection, purchased a couple of recent ghosts from the shop and had some very generous donations of ghosts from members of the YGM Writing Group to include in this raffle. All prizes are available for collection from York; if you require a prize posting I'm asking for £3 contribution from prize winners towards postage and packaging costs within the UK. Prizes will be posted via a signed for postal service so you obtain proof of delivery. For international prize winners please liaise with me at the end of the raffle to agree postage method; £3 will be deducted from international postage costs but the remainder of the cost of international postage will need to be covered by the prize winner.
