Raffle Summary

Ruben is a handmade teddy bear who has been lovingly gifted to us by a true artisan allowing us to raise funds for Whizz-Kidz, a UK-based charity actively changing the lives of young wheelchair users. As always 100% of all our profits go to this wonderful and caring charity. Ruben is an heirloom bear and therefore number 1 of only 1, meaning he is completely unique to the winner. His name means "behold a son" but is often shortened by his friends to Ru. Ru was born on 9th March 2023 and is made from Hembold gold dense mohair with English glass eyes and the very best ultra suede paw pads. He has a heavy fibre filling to add weight and firmness ensuring the perfect cuddle is always achieved, and steel shot in his feet to ensure he doesn't lose his balance when standing. Ru also has a lovely little growler in his tummy so don't be surprised if you hear a few little growls whist indulging in some "bear time" which, quite frankly with Ru, you would find hard to resist. He wears handmade woolen material trousers (deliberately a little lose as he is partial to the odd packet of Gummy Bears) with matching bow tie and, of course, his signature flat cap. He always carries a fancy Liberty handkerchief in one pocket, a handmade ultra suede satchel bag and a collection of friend's photos in a suede wallet in his back pocket; he's a dapper chap alright! It would be fair to say that Ru brings with him a lifetime of knowledge and experience, the wisdom of silence and a stillness, in moments of uncertainty, to calm your busy day. Ru has been valued by an expert bear seller at anywhere above £500, such is his magnificence. He would make a beautiful adornment to any home or an incredible gift for a loved one. His quality is, quite frankly, second to none and you would be hard-pressed to find a finer example of craftsmanship anywhere in the world! Please don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to be the owner of this very special bear, and help us continue raising funds for this wonderful and worthy charity by buying a ticket or two. Please be warned that Ruben is no toy and therefore not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Our very best wishes, The Ride of the Ruperts!
