Here we go... I am raffling a stamped Bellmetal Splatter ghost in aid of DBA UK with the consent of the Merchants. This ghost was purchased in the Guild Room, and this batch stamped by Ms Derry was exclusive to the room! The ghost was purchased by myself with the intention of raffling, and Mr Bloodworth kindly expressed his support of this when permission was requested before purchase in the room. The cost of the ghost and postage will both be covered by myself, regardless of location, so all proceeds from the raffle will be received by DBA UK via my Justgiving page. The ghost will be supplied with original tissue paper and green Guild Room box. I am running the Great North Run in September - my first ever half marathon - in support of DBA UK. The total raised beyond costs and fees will be donated directly to my Justgiving page! My cousin William is 14 years old and suffers from a rare bone marrow failure disease called Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. He receives regular blood transfusions every 3 weeks in order to keep him alive. He also has various other medical procedures and receives treatment for the build up of iron in his body caused by all the blood transfusions. DBA UK is a small charity and relies on a very small number of people to fundraise to provide money to fund vital research into this disease. It also provides important support to families while they go through the difficulties of battling DBA. William is affected by this illness every single day of his life and we would love to continue to support the charity that has supported all of his family so much over the years since William was only a few months old.
